Privacy is ensured in high-class Geneva hotel
 
 
When plans were drawn up to extend the luxurious Crowne Plaza Hotel in Geneva by adding a congress centre and 300 extra beds, requirements included perfect aesthetics, good acoustic insulation, and minimal disturbance to guests. The extension consists of a separate wing with an individual, modern character thanks to its impressive façade.
 
The windows are not visible from the outside, thus preserving privacy; yet afford wonderful panoramic views of the Alps and Jura mountains.
 
The aluminium façade also effectively eliminates the noise from the nearby airport and is energy-efficient. The façade elements were pre-assembled in the workshop and then added to the structure of the building. This reduced the installation time and limited disturbance to guests, as the hotel remained open during the entire construction.
